Blake Parker, Multimedia Journalist

Blake Parker joined ABC57 News in June of 2024 as a NightTeam weekday multimedia journalist.
Born in Austin, Texas, and raised in the nearby city of Georgetown, Blake is far from home but has found another one here in Michiana sharing stories.
Blake graduated from Texas Tech University in May of 2024 where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism with a minor in public relations and strategic communication, and a concentration in communication management.
During her time at Texas Tech, Blake was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, the first Greek-letter fraternity for women. College is also where Blake’s passion for writing developed exponentially.
She volunteered at the College of Media and Communication’s MCTV Newscast, but her love for amplifying voices grew during her internship with KLBK TV, KAMC TV, and Everything Lubbock.
Blake spent much of her youth as a competitive swimmer, so during her free time, you can usually find her in the water, except during these Michiana winters, or listening to her record collection while immersed in a book.
Now fully engaged in Michiana, Blake loves connecting with each unique aspect of this community and the people that make it shine. Don’t hesitate to reach her to suggest a story idea or news tip.
