DOWAGIAC, Mich. — It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas across Michiana with holiday season festivities kicking off, like Dowagiac District Library’s Tues. evening Christmas Tree Lighting event.
Dozens of community members came out to the first-ever Christmas celebration the library has held, where there was a tree lighting countdown, a performance from the Dowagiac Middle School choir, and several other Christmas themed activities.
“It is nice when a whole community as big as this one can come together and overall, just have a fun time together… I found it nice to see some friends, some familiar faces, and just new people… just to be here, to witness all the feels, it just, it’s a good feeling I would say,” said 7th grade choir member, Peyton Beard.
