Polar Plunge returns to Four Winds Field
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Mishawaka Firefighters Local 360 and Mishawaka Parks held their first ever 80’s themed block party, ‘Rock the Block’, Friday evening at Ironworks Plaza in Mishawaka.
With a live band, food trucks, activities for kids including a play area and dunk tank, and a raffle, it was an event geared towards helping the ones who help protect us, with all proceeds going to the Mishawaka Firefighters Local 360 Benevolent Fund.
“If anyone gets sick, hurt… has a sick family member, we can help out. Help our own out… Unfortunately, some of our members have had either cancer or their family members have had cancer before. We’ve been able to help them with travel expenses, hotels, food, lodging, anything like that, we’ve been able to help them when they’ve been in these tough times,” said a firefighter and paramedic with the Mishawaka Fire Department, Jordan Rutherford.
