The rain earlier this afternoon has melted most of the snow on the roads, leading to improved driving conditions. Conditions are expected to remain relatively calm for the rest of the afternoon, but system snow will move into Michiana tonight and continue into Sunday. Overnight lows will drop into the 20s.

Winds will become gusty tomorrow, triggering lake effect snow on Sunday, which will contribute to overall snowfall totals. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for all of Michiana from 10 PM tonight until 7 PM Sunday. The main concerns include snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches (from both system and lake effect snow) and reduced visibility due to gusty winds causing blowing snow.

Temperatures will take a sharp dive to start the workweek, with highs only in the teens, but a gradual warming trend is expected in the latter half of the week. There is a slight chance for more snow by midweek.

Tonight: Snow showers begin. High 26.

Sunday: Snow throughout the day.  High 29.

Monday: Cold, cloudy. High 13.

Tuesday: Cold, Mostly Cloudy. High 17.
