Crews respond to house fire in Keeler Township

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Keeler Township Fire and Rescue Department reports crews responded to a house fire around 8:23 p.m., Thursday.

The report states firefighters were on scene until around midnight when the fire was put out.

No injuries have been reported.

The department is also reminding the public that there's a lot of things going on during an active fire and nobody other than emergency first responders should walk, drive, or otherwise through the scene.

Fire officials say this can be dangerous for the public and first responders.

They also ask that no one enters structures after a fire as that can be just as dangerous.

Keeler was assisted by Sister Lakes and Hartford Fire.
