ELKHART, Ind. -- Wellfield Botanic Gardens held a wreath making class today, one of the many different classes they are holding this holiday season.
Their goal, to get families to come together and create memories while making Christmas items.
While today's class focused on wreathes, the Gardens will be hosting different classes each Sunday in December, including cookie decorating and cocktail making.
For the wreathes, workers cut live greens from their evergreen trees for people to use in making the Christmas classic.
"The classes are geared towards students 10 and up, unless they are the cocktail classes, then obviously those are 21 and up, and it's something to do with a loved one or a friend or someone in your family, something to an opportunity to get out into the community and do something fun," stated Education Coordinator at Wellfield Botanic Gardens Christi Cornell.
Attendees were also encouraged to walk through the holiday lights set up all throughout the garden, while snagging a cup of hot cocoa to brave the winter weather.
