SAINT JOSEPH, Mich. -- A major development with apartments, restaurants, and more is coming to the heart of downtown St. Joe Michigan, overlooking Lake Bluff Park.
Today ABC57 confirmed the new project will be called the Marquette.
The South Bend based Rienks Group is planning a 100-unit apartment and condo complex at the site of the old YWCA on Pleasant Street, which has sat vacant for decades.
The proposal includes retail space on the ground floor and two new restaurants, along with an underground parking lot for 157 cars, as part of an agreement with the city of St. Joe.
Rienks hopes to break ground on it early next year.
