Two arrested for possession of meth following traffic stop in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Ind. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team assisted the Dowagiac Police Department on a traffic stop in the 100 block of Halstead Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers say during the stop, detectives conducted a search after K9 Cash scent alerted on the passenger and driver's side door.

During the search, authorities say they found methamphetamine.

The 63-yrear-old driver and 40-year-old passenger were both arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

The names of the two arrested are being withheld pending their arraignments.
