Shooting in Elkhart leaves one dead

ABC 57 ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department responded to a fatal shooting on Tuesday at the 700 block of Monroe St. in Elkhart.
The Elkhart City 911 Communications Center received a call at around 6:55 p.m. about an unresponsive 32-year-old male who had an apparent gunshot wound.
The gunshot victim was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
Elkhart County homicide Unit was activated and is handling the further investigation.
