Leonard was serving two consecutive life terms for two counts of murder, a 50 year term for 7 counts of felony arson, a 20 year term for 27 counts of felony arson and a 20 year term for conspiracy to commit arson.
Leonard was pronounced dead at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis Tuesday around 9:15 a.m.
Leonard had been an inmate at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Sullivan County, Indiana.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
