ADEC is holding several lunch workshops to educate employers about employing people with disabilities.
On January 26, ADEC held a workshop educating local business owners and managers about the Americans with Disabilities Act and what they can do to help employees with disabilities succeed.
They will be holding additional workshops this year.
"We would really like to see a turnout not only for employers, but maybe individuals living in the community that don't know there are resources available to help them if they want to work. But they're not sure who they can contact or what referrals can be made for them. They can come to these workshops as well," said Sara Howard, Senior Manager at ADEC.
On March 23 the workshop will be about employing people with disabilities.
On May 25, the workshop will be about ADEC's Community Employment services. Attendees can learn how ADEC clients can make valuable contributions to your workplace.
The workshops are being held at the St. Joseph County Public Library on Main Street in downtown South Bend.
If you are interested in attending, you are asked to RSVP at least one week in advance. Visit the ADEC website for more information
