Part of U.S. 421 to close in La Porte County

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced crews will conduct seal coating operations on U.S. 421 between U.S. 30 and S.R. 8 on or after Monday, July 8.

INDOT says this section of U.S. 421 will be closed to thru traffic for approximately three days, weather permitting.

The detour will follow U.S. 30 to S.R. 39 to S.R. 8.

Motorists are asked to utilize the detour or seek an alternate route.

Local access will be maintained, and motorists are asked to exercise caution and follow directions carefully where work is occurring.
