Local Lounge opens with creative space for all
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend's old Emporium building is dancing into a new chapter, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony tonight for 'The Bend Lounge', a space where musicians, artists, and comedians can perform or present their work.
For anyone who doesn't fall into one of those categories, the space is for you too. ABC57 is told the lunge is seated perfectly for a great view and the company of others.
"So if you are interested in performing at the bend lounge, we focus on jazz, R and B and also blues. We welcome that. We are also preparing for a comedian spot. It's going to be called music and laughter, where we have musicians as well as comedians collaborate for a night of last laughter and also music. So, if anyone is interested in being part of that. We have an opportunity for you," stated Executive Owner of The Bend Lounge Armar'rae Hill.
Hill also says they plan to showcase local art along their walls, further creating an outlet for those in the community eager to showcase who they are and what excites them most.
