UPDATE: Non-emergency phone lines are back up in Van Buren County

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. - UPDATE: The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office reports all non-emergency lines are back in service as of 10 a.m., Thursday, June 6.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office reports three of their non-emergency phone lines are temporarily unavailable, including the county jail and sheriff's office.

Authorities say they're currently experiencing a disruption in reaching the administration offices, jail, and central dispatch.

The public is asked to call (248) 657-3101 for non-emergencies until further notice.

Updates will be released when normal service is restored.

The numbers affected are (269) 657-3101 for central dispatch, (269)-657-2006 for the sheriff’s administration, and (269) 657-2171 for the jail’s direct line.

Central dispatch is still taking 911 calls on their backup system.
