Nappanee Parks events happening in August

NAPPANEE, Ind. -- Two events are happening in Nappanee in August, held by Nappanee Parks.

On Saturday, August 3, 'Summer Slide' is taking place from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Sledding Hill in Thompson Dr.

Visitors should bring their own float, tube, and mat. Goggles are recommended.

It's $5 per entry to for unlimited sliding.

On Thursday, August 8, 'Touch-A-Truck' is taking place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Downtown Pavilion.

Visitors will be able to visit with local city departments and businesses, tour a school bus, view tractors and equipment, and more.
