ELKHART, Ind. -- Nearly 50 city leaders running the Hoosier show met up in the city with a heart Wed., kicking off this year’s Indiana Conference of Mayors (ICOM).
For the first time, Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson’s administration hosted the event, as he holds the 2025 title of ICOM president.
From Wed. to Sat., the Mayors will attend conferences, collaborate on ideas, and hear how Mayor Roberson is working to connect residents to the city of Elkhart.
“Stealing ideas is the best part of being a mayor, and actually I should say borrowing them because… people that are doing wonderful things in communities is worth replicating… we need to have these kind of relationships with one another and I’m awfully glad that we do, and we can, and that’s why ICOM is a very important affiliation for the city of Elkhart, but it’s also important for us to know we’re connected," said Mayor Roberson.
