WARSAW, Ind. -- Camp Hero launched into its 7th year on Tuesday with a record 210 campers.
The camp features law enforcement and EMS officials working with kids directly to get hands-on first responder training.
Leaders even tell us that a camper used the CPR training that they learned at Camp Hero in 2024 to help a family member in trouble.
The camp covers job responsibilities for police, fire and EMS, giving kids a wide range of activities to understand a broader range of what first responders do.
Camp Hero wraps up with a graduation ceremony at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
