Free family carnival at Elkhart Moose Lodge Saturday

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Moose Lodge #599 will be hosting a free family carnival and fundraising event on Saturday, June 29, from noon to 4 p.m., at their pavilion.

Entry is free, and tickets can be purchased to play games. Tickets are $1 each or packs of 10 for $5.

Organizers say all proceeds will be used to build a playground in the patio area of the lodge.

Lodge officials say they're trying to make the lodge something families can enjoy.

There will be music for kids to show off their dance moves, and various games like ring toss, piggy races, ax throwing, duck hunt, fishbowl and more.

Kids will have the opportunity to walk away with prizes.

A photo booth will also be on site so families can take silly photos.

Organizers say the games will be geared toward as many ages as possible.

There will be carnival themed food available for purchase, including Keim's Elephant Ear Express and Dem Spencer Boyz Sweet Lemonade.
