Faith Mission dedicates new transitional housing opportunity in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. - The Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce and Faith Mission of Michiana held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday for the Swihart Tiny House Village, a transitional housing opportunity for Faith Mission graduates.

The Tiny House Village is located on Faith Mission's campus in Elkhart.

The village includes 12, 20-by-20-feet individual homes that are move-in ready for graduates who need more support in establishing personal stability.

The Transitional Housing Program provides a low-cost housing option to clients while also encouraging them toward financial independence and long-term stable housing.

Faith Mission also operates Tiny Shelters, an overnight shelter for individuals who cannot function in a typical shelter environment.
