CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on Calvin Center Road in Calvin Township around 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Authorities' initial investigation determined 34-year-old Humberto Navaro, of Jacksonville, Ark., was traveling north on Calvin Center Road when he ran off the roadway to the right and struck a tree.

Navaro was then taken to Elkhart General Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Deputies say speed was a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
