Kosciusko County Prosecutor\'s Office - Anna, Jennifer, and Timothy Mullin Mugshots

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- The Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office reports in an affidavit that Anna Mae Mullin is charged with Kidnapping and Confinement where victim is less than 14 years of age, both Level 5 Felonies, and Interference with Custody, a Misdemeanor.

Anna's husband, Timothy Mullin, and their daughter, Jennifer Lynn Mullin, are charged with Aiding, Inducing, or Causing a Kidnapping and Confinement where victim is less than 14 years of age, both Level 5 Felonies. They are also charged with Aiding, Inducing, or Causing an Interference with Custody, a Misdemeanor. Timothy is additionally charged with Perjury, a Level 6 Felony.

Jennifer was involved in a relationship with a man, resulting in the birth of their child. The two co-parented the child in their Kosciusko County home until September 2024, when Jennifer left the county and took the child to live with her parents in Wayne County, Ind.

Following this, Jennifer began to cut off the father's contact with his child. He then contacted an attorney to assist him in securing his parent rights. In the proceedings, the court ordered Jennifer to undergo either a psychological or parenting evaluation, which she refused to do.

On April 16, the Judge of the Kosciusko Superior Court 4 signed a Temporary Order Regarding Custody in which the child's custody was modified to the father, on account of multiple findings of Jennifer's non-compliance with prior court orders regarding parenting time, multiple acts of contempt, and failure to submit to a custody evaluation.

On June 4, Jennifer and her father, Timothy, failed to bring the child to a court hearing, reporting that she was left in Wayne County with Anna. Jennifer was found in contempt of court for failing to comply with the custody order. When questioned further, she was vague and non-committal about the child's actual whereabouts but stated that her mother may be in possession of the child.

The same day, Anna reportedly left her residence in Wayne County, taking the child with her. Timothy stated to the court that he has not seen either his wife or the child since this day and was unaware of their location, though he never filed a missing person report and publicly stated he didn't believe they were in danger.

Regardless, the child was listed as a missing person, having been taken by a non-custodial relative in violation of the custody order.

On June 13, Timothy was interviewed at the Wayne County Sheriff's Office after having stated that Anna was in possession of a Capital One credit card. He had stated further that the credit card statement reflected a purchase made in Connersville, Ind. on June 5.

Timothy had agreed to obtain a more recent credit card statement that might have shown additional account activity. However, at the in-person interview, he declined to present the updated statement and ceased cooperating with the sheriff's office.

Further investigations revealed the family allegedly plotted to hide the girl after the court custody order, even using burner phones.

Investigations also revealed a residence in Indianapolis as a possible location for Anna and the missing child. On July 15, upon arriving at the Indianapolis residence, detectives knocked on the door and witnessed both Anna and the missing girl.

After officers were allowed entry, a detective on the scene noted the child's red hair had been dyed black.

The child was taken into protective custody and returned to Kosciusko County.
