SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police Department were called to the 3000 block of Sheridan Plaza around 3 a.m. in response to a shooting. 

Officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds who was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. The male victim was identified as 25-year-old Donovan Russell.  His autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow in Kalamazoo.

The SBPD Violent Crimes Unit is actively investigating this case.
