ABC 57 ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the roundabout of C.R. 18 and C.R. 115 around 5:43 a.m., Monday.
The report states a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by a 52-year-old Elkhart woman, was traveling east on C.R. 18 approaching the roundabout.
Authorities say as the Suburban attempted to stop at the yield sign on the west side of the intersection, a 2017 Buick Envision, driven by a 62-year-old Elkhart woman, was stopped.
Deputies say due to the icy conditions, the Suburban slid forward, striking the rear of the Envision.
The 62-year-old driver was treated on scene by medics for injuries sustained from crash before being taken to Elkhart General Hospital for further treatment.
