A cold and soaking rain slowly creeps northward across Michiana today. The wet weather stays south of US-30 in the morning but ventures north of the road in the early afternoon and will cover all of Michiana by the evening time. No severe weather is expected, but periodic torrential downpours are likely to be embedded within general showers today. Temperatures stay in the 40s for most of Michiana throughout our Wednesday. After a break in the wet weather this evening and early overnight, scattered thunderstorms return early Thursday morning along a lifting warm front. Another break follows late Thursday morning and early afternoon before a cold front from the west introduces potentially severe storms to our forecast area Thursday evening/night. Showers continue Friday morning but may disperse in time for the South Bend Cubs home opener.
Today: Rain. High 48.
Tonight: Thunderstorms late. Low 40.
