UPDATE: Charles Dubois was going to have a jury trial this week but has now entered a guilty plea agreement to one count of Domestic Battery Resulting in moderate bodily Injury. 

As a result, his other two charges of Rape were dropped. 

He will now spend one year in prison and 550 days on probation. 

WINAMAC, Ind. -- The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to reports of a sexual assault at a storage unit near the Pulaski County Recycling Center on March 28.

Authorities say the suspect, identified as Charles Dubois of Winamac, has been arrested and is preliminarily charged with Rape, a Level 3 Felony.

The victim was initially treated as Pulaski Memorial Hospital before being taken to an out-of-county medical facility for a forensic examination.

The victim told deputies that Dubois, an acquaintance, committed sexual acts on them after being told to stop multiple times.

Dubois was later contacted the same evening by investigators.

The report states Dubois then voluntarily accompanied deputies to the PCSO for an interview.

Investigators say based on statements and evidence obtained, Dubois was taken into custody and brought to the Pulaski County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and more evidence is being processed, including forensic analysis and digital evidence.
