SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is one of two of the busiest travel days during the holiday week. ABC57's Sidney Moore spoke with Julie Curtis, Director of Marketing and Air Service Development at South Bend Airport who says their flights are up 17% this week.
She recommends that if you plan on flying to download your airlines app to receive first notices if a flight has to be canceled or delayed. With more people travelling it's advised to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes ahead of your flight.
When it comes to packing for your trip visit Home | Transportation Security Administration to see what materials you can or cannot travel with.
Curtis says, "If there are cancelations, the airlines will work to get everybody rebooked. We do ask that everybody pack their patience and also be kind this holiday season."
