Three charged in alleged feud in Warsaw that escalated into armed robbery, shots fired

Kosciusko County Jail

WARSAW, Ind. -- Three men are facing charges for an alleged feud that escalated into armed robbery and shots fired.

Investigators say that on June 7, Christopher Tackett allegedly threw a brick at a car that belonged to Drake Meadows, damaging the vehicle. Court documents say Meadows and Tackett allegedly threatened each other over Facebook messages; in one message, Tackett allegedly told Meadows, "You're either going to jail or going to die."

Tackett told investigators that he was attacked by Meadows and Carmaene Arnold the following day. He alleges Meadows struck him with a blue "bar" in the head. Tackett also told investigators Meadows and Arnold stole a chain necklace from around his neck during the altercation.

Social media posts obtained by investigators appear to show Arnold posting a photo of a chain necklace, tagging Tackett's account and saying, "you dropped something while you were screaming for the police."

Tackett told investigators that, later, he fired from a car he was riding in at a Dodge Charger driven by Meadows. Investigators found two other cars not involved in the confrontation were hit. The driver of the car Tackett was in said his car was hit by bullets that came from the Charger. Surveillance video taken near the scene appears to contain audio of five gunshots as their cars drove by.

Meadows and Arnold are both charged with felony Armed Robbery. Tackett faces multiple charges, including Criminal Recklessness by shooting a firearm into an occupied vehicle or inhabited dwelling, Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun with prior felony convictions, and three charges of Criminal Mischief with damage between $750 and $50,000.
