Vacant building fire under investigation in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Firefighters Local 362 reports crews responded to the area of Mishawaka Avenue and Louise Street around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for reported smoke coming from a building.

Firefighters arrived to find a vacant two-story commercial building on fire.

Fire officials say the building has been vacant for several years and has been subjected to multiple fires.

The report states crews utilized a drone to locate hot spots on the roof. 

The fire was extinguished, and no injuries have been reported.

The fire is currently under investigation.
