U.S. 421 reduced to one lane beginning July 12

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – The southbound lane of U.S. 421 will be closed between C.R. W 1800 S and C.R. W 1850 S, north of La Crosse, beginning Monday, July 12, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced.

NIPSCO will close the southbound lane for transmission pole replacement and line straightening.

Flaggers will direct traffic while work is happening.

The project is expected to take two weeks.

Drivers are asked to please stay alert near crews and follow traffic directions carefully. Please allow for extra driving time and slow down and drive distraction-free through the work zone.
