Truck driver in Howe-LaGrange Indiana Toll Road plaza crash passes away
LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. – A truck driver that was seriously injured after getting into a crash on the Howe-LaGrange toll plaza on Friday has passed away, Indiana State Police confirm.
Michael S. Lohman, 53 of Glendale, Arizona, died due to his injuries from the crash during surgery on Friday night, according to troopers.
The crash took place on Friday around 5:30 pm. Westbound lanes of the toll road were closed until 7:23 pm.
His 12-year-old son, was released from the hospital last night and was transported by troopers to Fort Wayne and has now been reunited with his mother, the report said.
Further investigation of the crash by troopers says that the primary cause is attributed to distracted driving.
The Lohman family has been notified of this information.
