SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Logan Center is celebrating 75 years of helping people here in the Michiana community.
For seven and a half decades the nonprofit has helped people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing the resources and support to help them lead successful fulfilling lives academically, socially, and independently.
"The theme for us is helping individuals live their best life. So we hope that the people we serve experience all the same things that anyone else would, you know, how they you know, might receive an education to how through adulthood, they achieve a job in the community, live independently, go to worship, go to play, just enjoy everything about the community that you and I were and so that's what we hope to accomplish," stated Logan President and CEO Matt Harrington.
To do all that, The Logan Center provides programs for developmentally disabled children, teens, and adults, including group homes and supported living spaces, as well as vocational training, job placement, and more.
