South Bend police respond to several Thursday morning crashes

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department reports officers have been responding to numerous early Thursday morning crashes due to slick road conditions.

Police have been monitoring area roads since just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities are recommending drivers to take it slow on the roadways, and that side streets remained slippery around 6:20 a.m.

Crashes noted on the SBPD Facebook post include one at McKinley and Sunnyside and another at Michigan and North Shore involving a pedestrian around 7:05 a.m.

No major injuries have been reported at this time.
