Freezing rain fizzles out early this morning, moving out of the area completely by 5-6 AM. Temperatures stay below freezing until this afternoon, keeping most roads slick during the morning commute. Highs reach near 40F today with mostly cloudy skies in the back half of the day, but temperatures sink to the low 20s tonight. Friday is quiet and chilly, partly cloudy skies overhead with temperatures just below freezing most of the day. Michiana is gearing up for another wintry mix Saturday afternoon and evening consisting of rain, snow, and freezing rain. Daily temperatures hover around freezing heading into next week.
