NOW: SBPD officer arrested again for violating no contact order

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A probable cause affidavit obtained from the St. Joseph Superior Court reveals 24-year-old South Bend police officer Emanuel Garcia has been arrested for a second time after being arrested on Feb. 28 for Criminal Confinement, Domestic Battery and Resisting Law Enforcement.

Documents state Garcia was arrested on March 20 for violating the no contact order issued on March 3.

Authorities say Garcia violated that order on March 19 when he was inside the same house as individuals that were part of the no contact order.

Garcia has since been relieved of duty without pay from the South Bend Police Department.
