ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - The Salvation Army of Elkhart and Goshen kicked off their 2023 Red Kettle Campaign on Wednesday.
You'll start hearing those bells ringing while you're out shopping, very soon.
But this year there's an even easier way to give, with a simple "tap", to help support those in need.
Lt. Joshua Hubbard of Salvation Army of Elkhart stated, " You can use credit card, you can use your phone, and you just simply tap the desired denomination that you want to give, and it goes straight through. It's fast and it's efficient, it's great."
ABC57's Brian Conybeare was the keynote speaker at the Red Kettle Kickoff event in Elkhart Wednesday, and got to make one of the first tap to pay donations.
