DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- The community is invited to the Ramona Roller Rink on Saturday, July 6, from 11 a.m. to dusk to celebrate the rink's 96th birthday and raise funds to rebuild the rink.

Organizers say you'll be able to enjoy music from past DJs, shop numerous vendors, and participate in activities like build-your-own bracelet, face painting for the kids, miniature golf, and raffles with prizes from local businesses.

Organizers add there will also be food vendors and a fireworks display to end the night.

The historic rink was destroyed by a fire caused by lighting during a spring storm. The owner's cat, Nugget, also died in the fire.

The rink is located at 93103 C.R. 690 in Dowagiac.
