Police stand-off claims three lives in Indianapolis

PENDLETON, Ind. -- A police shootout outside of Indianapolis ended on Friday morning with the deaths of two people and a police dog.

The search for 59-year-old  Kenneith Bailer ended when officers found him dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

Police said that Bailey also killed an innocent bystander when he began firing random shots from his home during a stand-off with police.

"This gentleman had an AK-47, a lot of ammunition. He had a will to injure someone," said Chief Mark Farr with the Pendleton Police.

Police said the stand-off started following a domestic dispute.

Two officers were also hurt in the shootout, but they are expected to be okay.
