One person flown to hospital Wednesday following three-vehicle crash involving semi-truck
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on U.S. 30 around 3:53 p.m. on Wednesday.
The report states a 2023, Peterbuilt semi-tractor, driven by 56-year-old James J. Doye, was traveling east on U.S. 30 at the Queen Road intersection.
Authorities say that’s when Doye collided with a southbound 2011 Honda Civic, driven by 19-year-old Victor E. Villanueva Seville.
Seville then crashed into a northbound 2021 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 28-year-old Lexi D. Simpson.
All three vehicles came to a rest in the median.
The semi's trailer also lost its load across all eastbound lanes of U.S. 30, which caused them to be shut down until around 9:45 p.m.
Simpson and a second occupant were taken to Memorial Hospital, while Seville was airlifted to Memorial as well.
Doye was uninjured.
No citations were given, according to the report.
