SOUTH BEND,Ind. -- A Mic Check for Voice for the Movement took place Saturday afternoon. The event was hosted by The Speak Our Truth Project. It was both a social gathering for the families and for people of the community to come together to raise awareness about systemic abuse that children face.
The event included a DJ, games and sponsors from the city of Elkhart and Police officers from Elkhart, St. Joseph and Kosciusko counties sharing stories they have about children who need help in school and needs at home that have gone unanswered.
