SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Code School's AI workshop was a two hour introductory course taught to community members about what generative AI is and how to use it.
The course included learning how to create a python project through ChatGPT. The workshop was open to everyone to learn more about AI and how it works through programming.
During the session the Cofounder Alex Sejdinaj debunked the controversy surrounding AI and the possibility of AI taking over entry level jobs saying "So instead of, I think looking it at, looking at it as AI, is going to take my job. I think it is important to look at it as AI isn't necessarily going to take a person's job, but a person who understands how to use AI to do your job more proficiently"
