One dead following two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon

BRISTOL, Ind. -- The Bristol Police Department reports officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Mottville Road and Commerce Drive around 1:31 p.m. Wednesday.
The report states upon arrival, officers found the crash involved a full-size-pick-up truck and a four-door sedan, each only occupied by their respective driver.
Authorities say their initial investigation determined the sedan, driven by a 32-year-old Elkhart man, was stopped at the stop sign heading west on Commerce Drive at the intersection of Mottville Road.
At the same time, police say the pick-up truck, driven by an 18-year-old White Pigeon, Mich, man, was traveling north on Mottville Road south of the intersection.
The report states the sedan then pulled into the intersection, failing to yield the right of way, and was struck by the truck.
The truck's driver was uninjured.
The sedan's driver was found to be dead on the scene.
Police say the initial investigation determined speed was not a contributing factor in the crash.
