Police seek public's assistance in identifying suspects in string of Michigan City armed robberies
ABC 57 MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- At least three armed robberies have occurred in the past week, leading to the Michigan City Police Department seeking the public's help in identifying the suspects.
On April 28, police were notified of an armed robbery in the 100 block of Phillips Avenue at around 7:15 p.m.
The victim, a food delivery driver, told officers they were robbed by a man described as African American, shorter in stature, wearing glasses, and dressed in a gray zip-up hoodie sweatshirt.
The victim said the man was armed with a black firearm with an accessory attached. Police say the suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot with a food delivery order.
On April 29, police learned an armed robbery had occurred in the 600 block of East 10th Street around 7:15 p.m.
The victim, another food delivery driver, told police they were robbed by an African American man with facial hair dressed in a green hooded sweatshirt.
The victim said the man displayed a black firearm with an accessory attached during the robbery. The suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot with a food delivery order.
On April 30, police learned another armed robbery occurred in the 600 block of East 10th Street at 7:07 p.m.
The victim, yet another food delivery driver, told police they were robbed by an African American man with facial hair dressed in a blue hooded sweatshirt, wearing glasses, and black and white shoes.
The suspect was last seen leaving the area on foot with a food delivery order.
