Nappanee Parks and Recreation fill summer with events and camps
NAPPANEE, Ind. - With summer approaching fast, Nappanee Parks and Recreation have a variety of events and camps planned for the kids, including tennis, exploring nature, swimming, and art, all for an affordable price.
You can sign your kid up for a three-week tennis lesson for only $35, starting June 5, through August 4, Monday to Friday, with skill levels from beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

If you're kids are fans of nature, the Summer Explorers program is perfect, where they'll explore the wetlands, study geology, identify trees and plants, and practice survival skills, all for $20, happening June 8 through August 3, Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

Your child can learn how to swim this summer with a two-week session starting June 5 through July 28, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with start times at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m.

What kid doesn't love art? And what better place to create art than with friends at local parks for free. Available to kids form kindergarten to eighth grade, Art in the Parks takes place from June 5 through August 4, with no class the week of the 4th of July.
Mondays will be at West Park, Tuesdays at Recovery Park, Wednesdays at South Park, Thursdays at West Park, and Fridays at Stauffer Park, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
An All Kids Camp will also be taking place for kids from pre-k to fifth grade from June 19 to June 23, and July 24 to July 28, and costs $25 per child per week.
The All Kids Camp consists of story time, craft time, indoor and outdoor movement activities, and a snack. The camp goes from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day.
