Nappanee man killed in Elkhart County crash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A Nappanee man was killed in a crash that occurred tonight around 5 p.m., according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say Christopher Moyer, 36, was traveling northeast by motorcycle on State Road 119 between County Road 15 and County Road 17 when a vehicle in front of him was slowing in its lane of traffic to enter a driveway.
Moyer failed to reduce his speed and rear-ended the vehicle.
According to police, Moyer was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident and was pronounced deceased at the scene due to his injuries.
No citations were issued at the scene and the crash is still under investigation by the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.
