Heavy lake effect snow develops on Monday
After showers, storms, and a cold front moved through Michiana yesterday, we are expecting conditions closer to average today. Some sprinkles could be felt through the morning hours Wednesday, with clouds decreasing into the afternoon. Calm conditions for tonight and Thursday, though slightly warmer as we barrel toward the weekend. Clouds gather overnight Thursday and rain chances increase on Friday, with elevated rain chances continuing through the weekend The question isn't if we will get rain, it is what system we will get rain from. Chances are looking more likely that now Tropical Storm Helene will bring us some rain, timing is still iffy. Highest chances for rain are Saturday evening into Sunday, decreasing to start the week. The start of October ushers in cooler temperatures, slightly below average for a couple of days, but another slight warm up to end next week.
Today: Cooler, clearing. High 73.
Tonight: Cool, clear. Low 54.
Thursday: Getting warmer, clear. High 76.
Friday: Gathering clouds, some evening showers. High 77.
