Middlebury Food Pantry seeking donations for Back-to-School Giveaway
MIDDLEBURY, Ind. -- The Middlebury Food Pantry announced they're currently seeking donations from the community as it prepares for its annual Back-to-School Giveaway, set for Saturday, August 3.
"With the school year quickly approaching, we are deeply concerned about our ability to provide necessary school supplies to children in need," said Executive Director of the Middlebury Food Pantry Pam Bingaman. "We are reaching out to our community with a heartfelt plea for donations. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us ensure that every child starts the school year with the tools they need to succeed."
The pantry is seeking donations of:
- Backpacks
- Notebooks
- Pencils and pens
- Crayons and markers
- Any other school supplies
Organizers say donations can be dropped off at the Middlebury Food Pantry at 233 U.S. 20.
Pantry officials say they're currently facing a significant shortfall in donations, with many previous supporters unable to contribute due to their own financial struggles.
