Melting snow then heavy rain to end the week
Michigan is expanding its Reconnect scholarship, making college free to more students. The program comes as an effort to address the shortage of qualified workers.
The $140 million investment has helped more than 13,000 students since 2021.
The program offers tuition-free community college to adults with no post-secondary education.
