Michigan law enforcement increases patrols on I-94 starting Wednesday

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Starting on March 26, Michigan will have increased law enforcement on I-94 from New Buffalo to Port Huron. The Michigan State Police, local police, and sheriff's departments will increase patrols to help prevent distracted driving from drivers eating, texting, and engaging in other distractions while driving.

April is Distracted Driving Awareness month. Agencies will be educating drivers on distracted driving risks during stops and with the help of media. For more information about Distracted Driving Awareness month click here.
