Michigan City Area Schools say buses are fixed, back in service

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Michigan City Area Schools announced thanks to their mechanics, Shop Foreman Dave Lohraff, Assistant Shop Foreman Steve Smith, Mechanics Jacob Miller and Davian Sanchez, 20 buses are back on the road, and normal operations have resumed as of Friday.

Several buses were already back in service for Thursday’s afternoon routes.

This comes after thieves stole the catalytic converters from the buses on Monday night.

The Michigan City Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident.
