Marshall-Fulton U.S. 31 Corridor project open house Thursday

Indiana Department of Transportation

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation announced it will host an open house for the Marshall-Fulton U.S. 31 Corridor project.

INDOT officials say the project involves proposed safety improvements to three U.S. 31 intersections in Marshall and Fulton Counties and access control changes to six other crossings along the U.S. 31 corridor between south of C.R. 700 and north of 16th Road.

Officials say the purpose of the project is to maintain reasonable access to the local highway system while reducing conflict points.

INDOT officials say the projects are needed at these locations due to safety concerns with the existing intersections.

Representatives from INDOT, VS Engineering, and other key project members will be on hand at the open house.

Attendees will be able to view the options under consideration for these improvements and provide feedback to the team ahead of a formal public hearing set for 2026.

The open house will be held in the cafeteria at Argos Community Jr.-Sr. High School, 500 Yearick St. in Argos with doors opening at 5 p.m.

Attendees will have time to view displays and talk to representatives before the formal presentation begins at 6 p.m.
